The CGF Gallet TC-2000 Combat Helmet is a modular helmet system that provides ballistic, fragmentation, aural, and impact protection; while at the same time being night vision, communications and Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) equipment compatible. The TC-2000 is intended to replace standard government and commercial helmets, communications and aural protection items currently in use.
This ballistic helmet provides 9mm and fragmentation protection within a wide spectrum of environments (climatic, salt water, fresh water, POL, etc). The helmet allows maximum sensory awareness for the user, which includes unobstructed field of view and ambient hearing capabilities. It also allows mounting of night vision devices and oxygen masks. The helmets retention/suspension system provides maximum balance, stability and comfort, while providing unparalleled size, fit and ventilation. The pad suspension system provides adequate impact protection throughout all joint special operations, to include Static Line and Military Free Fall airborne operations.
The TC-2000 helmet (without the communications package) weighs approximately two and a quarter pounds and is compatible with standard and Special Operations clothing and individual equipment. It is available in Black, Dull Green, and Sand.
